MORE EDITABLE PRINTABLE DOWNLOADS. THIS TIME FOR THE WEDDING SEASON

Well summer has at last arrived and wedding season is upon us, so specially for the occasion I have made some wedding themed wine cover gift boxes that will do perfectly for the tables at the reception or for gifts. Just right for those of you who are being creative and making handmade items for your wedding day.

THE BRIDE AND GROOM

As usual these are editable and printable and super easy to make, using 2 sheets of A4 card, so you can make as many of them as you like, each of them individually personalised for the occasion.

I have also made them fold flatable - can you say that? - for easy storage and re-use

The box will cover a bottle with these dimensions

The files are available for £2 from my Etsy shop by clicking on the button below.

Of course the Dinner Jacket box could also be used for many other occasions, where a masculine or more formal approach is called for.

I hope you can find a use for them :0)

Please be kind - particularly if you download a freebie - and 'like' me on Facebook, Pinterest or Google+ or 'Stumble' upon me. «The buttons are floating over there on the left - no excuses ;0)

NOW, ALL WRAPPED UP FOR FATHER'S DAY!

Father's Day is fast approaching and as usual I have left things to the last minute.

As my Dad, like so many other men, has everything he needs and is one of the world's worst to buy a prezzy for, I've decided to give him a couple of days of my hard labour in his garden, waging the ever present war on weeds.

To go with this I thought a nice sustaining bottle of wine for when the weeding is over, would be a good idea, so a bottle cover was required with a more masculine feel to it.

This cover, I thought, would be ideal for all those occasions when a gift of wine would go down well.  The gift for the host at a dinner party, a Birthday present and of course, Father's Day.
Once again it is in my Etsy shop as an instant download for £2-00.

I hope you will be able to make use of this file for the men in your life.
Think of me weeding won't you.  Hopefully next year I'll come up with a better plan ;0)

Please leave me a comment - especially if you download a freebie - so I can I decide what to post next. :0)

ALL WRAPPED UP WITH A LOVELY BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE

I have been super busy just lately as my two Tiddlers - not so tiddly any more - have both been getting ready for their birthday parties, one a Luau and the other Star Wars. There are so may great ideas out there and my Pinterest boards are beginning to groan.  Still, we have made progress and the Luau is happening as I type, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all the hard work will have paid off and it's an overwhelming success.

All these preparations sort of put a halt to the projects I had planned and when I received an e-mail asking if one of my wine bottle covers came in a champagne size, I thought I had better get back on track and finish the jobs in hand.

So here it is - the champagne bottle size cover.  Once again with editable text so you can customise it with your own wording.  It's an instant download from my Etsy shop and is so quick to put together - half the time of going to the shops and definitely less tiring.

It's available for £2 sterling by clicking on the button below.

So, now I'm out of party bag mode and back in the real world, I'd better crack on and get the rest of the half finished projects sorted out and ready to upload.

ONWARDS ...........!

Please leave me a comment - especially if you download a freebie - so I can I decide what to post next. :0)

EDITABLE, PRINTABLE PINK DIAMOND PETAL TOPPED BOX

As Mother's Day is looming, I wanted to make a special little gift for my Mum.  This box is really girly and has started my new 'Pink Diamond' range, which will in time also incorporate a bottle box, a triangular favor box, a tissue cover for tiny tissues, and a bottle collar.

I thought all of these would be useful for Weddings as well as gifts when needed.

The template for this is available from my Etsy shop  - Sheila's Crafty Corner - as an instant download and will cost £2.

The boxes dimensions are 3,5 x 3.5 x 5 inches  and I have found 16 Lind'or sweeties fit in very well (If they don't get snaffled first)

Once again all the text is editable by highlighting the 'Your text here' and replacing it with your own wording, so you can customise it to your own requirements.  They are very easy to put together with instructions included and take two pieces of A4 card, and fold flat for storage

So what are you waiting for - click on the link above, do a quick download and get those sweeties all wrapped up for that special occasion. :0)

BELLS - IT WAS THE BELLS!

These little crocheted bells are a real joy. I make a little stash of them for moments when I need that little bit of extra magic.  They can be used, I have found, for so many different projects.
I love decorating cakes but unfortunately am not particularly good at the clever paste sculptures that so many 'proper' cake makers seem to achieve, so - improvise!  The bells were just what I needed for Val and Daves cake and really did the trick - success!

I also needed something quickly to finish off these bouquets of flowers and make them look special and once again the bells added that little 'something' that was just what just the job.

WEDDING CAKE WITH A DIFFERENCE!

When my daughter got married, they decided to have an outdoor reception. So with this in mind, the thought of cutting up cakes in the great outdoors and the afore mentioned hate of cake in napkins, we decided the best bet would be to have the cake already cut and in boxes. A great deal of thought was given to the problem and then the answer came to us and.....

the theme of the wedding turned out to be a little 'bookish'!

Mark's Mum, Marianne, made the most wonderful cakes (the secret family recipe) and I designed and made up 80 little book boxes to put it in. Trying to figure out how to make the boxes and how to decorate them took a little time (if only I had had my Craft Robo then!)  but in the end they turned out to be very easy to make and looked very effective.  Robin made the 'book case' and then we made the large book to go on the top which had the cake in for cutting.

The top cake was wrapped in cling film and put into the box and an insert with a poem that Michelle and Mark had found and liked, was popped on the top, and was lifted off when the cake was cut.

The whole thing turned out beautifully, Mariannes cake was superb and after the champagne and the cake cutting, everyone had a little box ready for taking home to eat later.  Very satisfactory!!  ;0)

CRAFTY CAKES

This crafty cake topper was made using my Craft Robo

We celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary this year.  It has been the most amazing forty years, with so many marvelous happenings on the way.  So to mark the event we had a party with all the family.
I needed something special for the cake and when I saw this .gsd pattern for a card here Thyme Graphics I knew it would be perfect!

However my efforts were totally upstaged by the cake made for us by The Tiddlers. Decorated by five year old Beth and supervised by Ben (three).
It was just spectacular!
We have achieved many things in our forty years together but our most spectacular successes must be our two talented & beautiful daughters and two of the most wonderful grandchildren we could have been blessed with.
sigh......... ;0)

By the way, Thyme graphics have some fantastic cutting files.  It's well worth having a look!

Branching out

Having had a fair bit of success with the bells, I've now started to branch out into other crocheted items.  The fans turned out particularly well and have been requested by friends for bridal good luck gifts.  Again I had a few hours of brain twisting to get the boxes to fit and look professional.  I've had several attempts that looked good but either didn't stay together for very long, (see picture) or didn't stay shut properly, but eventually I hit gold and am so pleased with the final product.

THREAD CROCHET WEDDING BELLS

My most recent passion is for thread crochet ornaments.  Years ago, when we were in Bosham on the south coast, I peeped into a craft gallery and saw some crochet bells and little animals.  They were so beautifully made, that that was it - I had to have a go!  So I looked round for patterns - not a chance - they are like gold dust.  Eventually, I found just what I needed and got cracking.  At the time you could get fabric stiffener called Stiffy from almost any craft shop, which did the job perfectly.  However, you don't seem to be able to buy it over here anymore so, after trying starch, PVA glue and everything else I could think of to stiffen the material and having disasterous results, I gave up making them.

However, last year I discovered that Evostick Wood Glue (blue bottle for outside use) is just the job.  It dries clear and very hard.  Perfect, I was off again. :0)

Crochet Wedding Bell & presentation box
So this is what I made for my friends wedding.  I also had a wonderful time designing a box to put it in.  Oh, the joy of being a crafter, it keeps me quiet for hours!
